Of course it is a well-known fact that Joe Hachem won the big win of $7.5 million at the 2005 World Series of Poker - WSOP. However, there are some pretty big other wins that this popular Aussie has tacked onto the amount of winnings that he has earned over the course of his poker career.
Also in 2005, and before he made the big win of the World Series of Poker, Hachem brought in the 10th place spot in the No Limit Hold'em World Series event. With $1,000 buy-in, giving him the win of $25,850.
Another win for Hachem was during the 2006 World Series of Poker where his hand of A `& Q was beaten by Dutch Boyd's A & 5, with the final hand on the board being Ace - King, 9 - jack etc. The ninth $ 2,500 potlimit hold _ em tournament, he placed 4th.
Also during the 2006 World Series of Poker's Main Event, Hachem placed 238th but still yet placing ‘in the money'.
During a World Series of Poker circuit event Hachem succeeded in making the final table, however he did not advance to the Super 16 round. Sadly, he missed this advancement by only one point.
Scotty Nguyen, Doyle Brunson, Carlos Mortensen, and Joe Hachem have won the World Poker Tour title and the World Series of Poker Main Event. These 5 are the only ones who have done so.
Winning $120,000, Hachem beat main event winners Johnny Chan, Greg Raymer, Huck Seed, Jamie Gold and Doyle Brunson at the “World Series of Poker Champions II” on NBC's Poker After Dark.
In December of the year 2007, Hachem won the APPT Tournament of Champions on Poker Stars.
Not to be considered a small amount of pocket change, Joe Hachem has totaled live winnings of $10,700,000 as of 2008, being 2nd to Jamie Gold's career earnings.
